With parking, heating, modern seating and a screen available for slides or power point, the hall is ideal for meetings and training days. The building is wheel chair accessible from the car park side.
The main room can accommodate up to 50 people in lecture style seating and up to 40 at tables. The smaller room can seat about 10-12 around a meeting table. There are plenty of tables and padded chairs and a screen for slides or power point. There is background heating via storage heaters which have the option for convector heater boost (this is metered).
The second room has a fitted kitchen with 2 kettles, 10 litre water boiler, large oven, 6 ring ceramic hob, fridge with ice compartment, microwave, hand washing sink etc. There is a good selection of cups, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. There are three toilets, one of which has wheel chair access.
The building closed as a village school in the 1970s, and has since been steadily modernised and cared for by the village. Other facilities include space for a barbecue and a small grassed garden for relaxing. Please note that the village is a very quiet place, and we ask that groups do not make excessive noise outside, especially after 8pm.
